WELCOME RUNNERS, FRIENDS AND COMPETITORS!

The 2009 Run 'Round the Rose 12 mile run for diabetes has been set for Saturday, July 18th at 7am.  "Thank you!" to the local law enforcement agencies, MN-DOT Dept. and municipalities for ensuring that this event will be conducted again safely.  This is a great mid-season training race for those working toward a fall marathon.... or an opportunity to just have fun running.  Runners from MN, ND, SD, IA, WI, NE and IL will appreciate the aesthetics of the course and its challenge.

The route, and start/finish location at Spanky's Stone Hearth north of Vergas on CR4, will be the same as last year.  Pre-registration and Pledge forms are provided below.

Please mark this date on your summer calendars and tell all your running friends about it.  We have added a 2-person open relay division this year, so if you can't quite handle the whole 12, but want more than three miles, we've got a race for you!  Award categories are posted on the Event  Overview page.  Race categories are Open M & F, 2-person relay teams and 4-person teams.

Look over our website and check out last year's photos.  It's a beautiful route... and more importantly, it's for a great cause:  Helping to win the battle against diabetes!

Lodging options for out of town visitors and participants are listed on the Area Lodging page.  The race location is about 1 hour east of the Fargo area and 3 hours NW of the Twin Cities metro area.  Vergas, Frazee, Detroit Lakes, Pelican Rapids, Fergus Falls and Perham all offer an assortment of nearby accommodations.
